Geometric, color blocked panels across the chest favors athletic apparel.

Metallic armour accessories detail the arms, calves, and neck.

Additional details included sheer sleeves, acid wash denim, and lace-up boots.

Loving tattoos and body modification (plugs) on the models.

James Long's Spring 2011 Collection during London Fashion Week

Highlights: Distressed knits that unveil pops of color yarns

within the the monochromatic black and grays of his knits.

We also love the tint of watercolor-splashed shirts, totes, and pants rolled up at the hem;

GQ suggested a Jackson Pollock reference here.

Could be, or they could just be splashes of paint as I don't find the splatter techniques remotely similar.

Love the work of Mr. James Long. Especially his knits.

When rock-and-roll inspires runway soul!

Moschino's Spring 2011 Collection takes a trip down "memory lane,"

by revisiting key fashion statements in rock history (1950s - Present)

Models channeled the dapper but rebellious quality of musicians: I see Bo Diddley, Buddy Holly,

Little Richard, Billy Idol, The Cure, The Clash, Green Day, Weezer, and Ok-Go in so many of these looks!

Every conceivable band frontman or soloist silhouette could be pin-pointed in every detail.

Sneakers, Oxfords and Wing Tip shoes appeared in bright and bold colors paired up with equally

bright tapered pants that were sometimes rolled up at the ankle.

Monotone blazers accessorised with a contrasting handkerchief,

cleverly styled to coordinate with accents on v-necklines and bands on fedoras.

Eccentric pairings of patterned separates (printed top and bottom worn together).

Color-blocking galore on the Jil Sander Resort 2011 runway.

We loved the bring tailored suits combined with complimentary and contrasting brights from head to toe!

The non-stop color palette reminded us of the Burberry Prorsum Spring 2008 Menswear runway which
was a never ending spectrum of double-breasted coats and long sleeve shirts in bright hues.

One of the major differences was the combination of black slacks was only used occasionally

with geometric printed crew neck shirts.

Collection undobutedly brought life to the greenery at the location, Villa Gamberaia Gardens in Florence.
One thing we miss is a gorgeous male model of dark complexion bringing the looks even greater vibrancy.
Are we asking for much?

I absolutely love the fashion forward and eccentric styling of MGMT for the latest issue of Black Book Magazine.

Stylist Christopher Campbell composed looks for a spread that begs men to take refreshing approaches

to their styling. We clearly see how layering looks utilizing varying fabric prints, colors, and textures WORKS.

In several ways, a male artist and business person can draw inspiration from this spread.

Some consumers may be interested in one part of the whole but I would love to see more men

of real-world fashion take these kinds of risks with their wardrobe; artist and passerby alike.

Donatella Versace (Queen Elizabeth I of high-fashion) creates a digital world for the badass of the future.

A neon laser background and circuit inspired runway defines the environment
for the Versace Fall 2010 (A/W 2010) Menswear Collection.
Highlights include leather motorcycle jackets and coats with intricate

quilted detail on the jacket panels (diagonal, horizontal, vertical, and crisscross stitching) Mix textures

of leather: matte, patent and even a metallic treatment.

I see a rugged Bruce Willis in "The Fifth Element," un-phased yet brut Will Smith in "iRobot,"
and a Polished Keanu Reeves in the likes of "The Matrix" and "Johnny Mnemonic"

My kind of films, my kind of runway, my kind of Man.

Fashion || MENSWEAR: Vivienne Westwood Fall 2010

In true unapologetic fashion, Vivienne Westwood presented a runway of
menswear inspired by the homeless. The forced mix of patterns, including plaids and deco-knits,
lends support to the idea of mind boggling street-chic fashion from men seeking shelter.
Styling is schizophrenic in appearance (which is very Venice Beach)

yet gathers some forward-thinking combinations of separates.
Ironically her concepts channel some of the unfortunate economic challenges faced in 2009
when nearly no man was safe from facing financial trials and tribulations.

For this reason theres a lot of irony in this collection as the face of homelessness is changing.

Lets not ignore the cause: Several knit garments featured statements about climate change,
loyalty to Gaia (Earth), and the future of human life.

I had to feature the photograph of Vivienne rolling out on the runway in a stretcher. CLASSIC!
