Fashion || Paul Costelloe Fall 2011 Collection

Solid show on the Paul Costelloe Fall 2011 Runway for London Fashion Week.
Wine colored tights paired with bright contrasting solid and plaid wool coats.
Minimalistic multi-pattern jacquard dresses flared above the knee.
Hair was styled by Bumble and Bumble; bright red wigs turned into blunt cut bobs with a structured bang.

FASHION || Holly Fulton Spring 2011 LFW

Award winning fashion designer Holly Fulton might say that
her collection is finally receiving the fashion week exposure it deserves;
The hard-at-work designer presented a line full of her trademark, fanciful, art deco prints;
her collection was a geometric playground that gave you a little bit of everything.
I spy: Sexy Fringe Detail, Bikinis, Sheath Dress, Circular Skirts, Wide Printed Harem Pants,
Art Deco Bibs that are to-die-for! I prefer to call bibs by their original name. Pectoral.
Pectorals are elaborate adornments designed to lay flat across the chest that date as far back as Ancient Egyptian times.

A grand slam combination between modern design and ancient civilization's infatuation with geosymmetry (in prints and jewelry).

James Long's Spring 2011 Collection during London Fashion Week
Highlights: Distressed knits that unveil pops of color yarns
within the the monochromatic black and grays of his knits.
We also love the tint of watercolor-splashed shirts, totes, and pants rolled up at the hem;
GQ suggested a Jackson Pollock reference here.
Could be, or they could just be splashes of paint as I don't find the splatter techniques remotely similar.
Love the work of Mr. James Long. Especially his knits.
