Fashion || Sessilee Lopez for Z Spoke Fall 2011

Fashion || Sessilee Lopez for Z Spoke Fall 2011

Sessilee Lopez looks divine in the Fall 2011 look book for Zac Posen's Fall 2011 Z Spoke Collection.
Love the ivory dress with pleated and tucked shoulders and elbow-length leather gloves.
Wool fabrication, a season favorite, brings a fabulous minimalistic parka
and always classic sleeveless shift dress with pleats along the waist.
Every piece in the Z Spoke Fall 2011 collection is undoubtedly consumer friendly.

Zac Posen's shares with Style.com "Last season was about launching it to the media,
this season, it's about direct to the consumer and retailer."

Fashion || Resort: Suno RST 2011

Some of my favorite looks from Suno RESORT 2011.
They returned for the Resort season with a multi-colored paint splash print
cut into a halter-wrap dress, circular skirts, and sleeveless jumpsuits.
While the paint splash print that should now remain in the early 2000s (proceeding the late-80s/early 90s),
it works alongside the diagonal stripes pattern which makes a refreshing combination.
Loving the shoe selection for this Look Book; especially the pink and purple suede pumps!

Fashion || Resort: "Destination Prints" Tory Burch RST 2011

Fashion || Resort: "Destination Prints" Tory Burch RST 2011

Resort collections are going crazy over "Destination Prints."
Sharing some of my favorite looks (intended for warmer climates) from Tory Burch RESORT 2011.
Burch used the orange-blue compliment often in her prints and incorporated a reoccurring paisley design in the pattern.
Style.com's Romney Leader claims to be inspired by Indian state, Rajasthan.
I spy: Printed dresses cut above the knee. Neckline ranged from being cut at-the-neck to a deep-v;
Floor-length, sleeveless printed dress, with a ruffled neckline (staple summer look);
Belted camisole over a sheath dress, and accessories with a printed scarf --Love this look minus the ski-boots;
Some of the styling for collection could have been stronger and fell short,
but were identifiable as easy-going looks intended for a very active traveler.

Fashion || Resort: "Destination Prints" Michael Angel RST 2011

Resort collections are going crazy over "Destination Prints."
Sharing some of my favorite looks from Michael Angel RESORT 2011.
He combined digital watercolor prints with native-inspired prints that had a bleed effect
(so many designers are creating digital printed textiles).
I spy: Loosely fitting tunics with understated ties at the waist;
Sheath dresses in his collection popped by combining contrasting hues in the prints;
Tunics tops were paired up with high-waisted satin shorts;
Sleeveless tunic with a deep hood and v-neckline.

Fashion || Timothy James Andrews "A Block A Brick Toe"

Fashion || Timothy James Andrews "A Block A Brick Toe"

Favorite looks from British designer Timothy James Andrews' collection titled "A-Block-A-Brick-Toe" (2009-2010)
His work is something Fanciful that reminds me of Addaperle and the Munchkins in "The Wiz" (1975)
--Specifically the colorful combination of quilted geometric shapes and the massive, batting filled, three-dimensional accessories. It would be hard to not identify his genius and artistic work for Afro-Punk rocker and phenomenal Fashion Rule Breaker Ebony Bones.
I love the idea of these two (Timothy and Ebony Bones) collaborating!
Timothy's work also made a recognizably strong feature on the cover of ARISE Magazine's "Fashion Issue"

Fashion || Designer on the Rise: "NAVEN" by Kym and Alexis McClay

Fashion || Designer on the Rise: "NAVEN" by Kym and Alexis McClay

Twin designers Kym and Alexis McClay are the minds and hands behind
NAVEN, a Los Angeles based collection that has been seen on the bodies of Young Hollywood
(including the Kardashians, Monique Coleman, Kelly Osborne).
They consider their work to be a "contrast between a classic and sophisticated silhouette and a young, fun and flirty style."
A statement that is made obvious by their silhouettes and fabric selection.
