Fashion || MB Fashion Week Swim: Mara Hoffman 2011

Another favorite from Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim at the Raleigh.
The Future meets Native Lands and Ancient Civilization.
I spy: Tie dye prints that create a striped pattern along maxi-dresses and swimsuits,
while a geometric print was utilized for contemporary resort wear.
Love the second look!

Fashion || MB Fashion Week Swim: Trina Turk 2011

As promised, ultra fabulous swimwear and resort looks from the Trina Turk Swim 2011 Runway.
Plenty of buzz in Miami surrounding Trina Turk's first appearance at
Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim at the Raleigh.
Absolutely adored the beautiful watercolor silk charmeuse dress and skirt in the collection.
Abstract/Deco Floral Prints in Neon colors styled with a white-and-black scarf or overshirt made an awesome pair.
Amazing oversized summer hats made bold statements as they were paired-up
with several bikinis and short summer dresses.
Ironically there wasn't much statement jewelry to be seen in any of the looks.

Fashion || Ad-Amazement: Milla Jovovich for Mercedes Benz E-Class Cabriolet

An ultra fabulous mix of color and luxury in the Focus on Fashion Campaign for
Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Berlin which will run from July 7-10.
Milla Jovovich is the cover girl for this year's campaign in what is a stunning
"colorful homage to contemporary surrealism."
Jovovich is pictured leaning against the E-Class Cabriolet wearing a custom Hat designed by Philip Treacy. According to MORFAE the hat "is made up of 300 feathers that have been individually shaped and painted with “road markings”. As [Treacy] explains, “Hats express individuality, an extreme form of luxury and this symbolizes a positive outlook."

Fashion || MENSWEAR: Jil Sander Resort 2011

Color-blocking galore on the Jil Sander Resort 2011 runway.
We loved the bring tailored suits combined with complimentary and contrasting brights from head to toe!
The non-stop color palette reminded us of the Burberry Prorsum Spring 2008 Menswear runway which
was a never ending spectrum of double-breasted coats and long sleeve shirts in bright hues.
One of the major differences was the combination of black slacks was only used occasionally
with geometric printed crew neck shirts.
Collection undobutedly brought life to the greenery at the location, Villa Gamberaia Gardens in Florence.
One thing we miss is a gorgeous male model of dark complexion bringing the looks even greater vibrancy.
Are we asking for much?

Fashion || Resort: Suno RST 2011

Some of my favorite looks from Suno RESORT 2011.
They returned for the Resort season with a multi-colored paint splash print
cut into a halter-wrap dress, circular skirts, and sleeveless jumpsuits.
While the paint splash print that should now remain in the early 2000s (proceeding the late-80s/early 90s),
it works alongside the diagonal stripes pattern which makes a refreshing combination.
Loving the shoe selection for this Look Book; especially the pink and purple suede pumps!

Fashion || Resort: "Destination Prints" Tory Burch RST 2011

Resort collections are going crazy over "Destination Prints."
Sharing some of my favorite looks (intended for warmer climates) from Tory Burch RESORT 2011.
Burch used the orange-blue compliment often in her prints and incorporated a reoccurring paisley design in the pattern.
Style.com's Romney Leader claims to be inspired by Indian state, Rajasthan.
I spy: Printed dresses cut above the knee. Neckline ranged from being cut at-the-neck to a deep-v;
Floor-length, sleeveless printed dress, with a ruffled neckline (staple summer look);
Belted camisole over a sheath dress, and accessories with a printed scarf --Love this look minus the ski-boots;
Some of the styling for collection could have been stronger and fell short,
but were identifiable as easy-going looks intended for a very active traveler.
